
​Tidewater Sharks FC​
History: The Sharks were launched in 1997 as a minor league team in the USISL D3 Pro League. Formerly the Baltimore Bays minor league outdoor team the Eastern Shore Sharks made their home in Ocean City, Maryland operating for 2 seasons. The Sharks emerged as a youth club on the Eastern Shore of Maryland from 1998-2005 with 18 teams at the height of its existence. After moving to Williamsburg in 2006, Sharks Director of Coaching Kevin Darcy directed the Virginia Legacy and Chesterfield United soccer clubs prior to forming a partnership with the WISC and launching the Tidewater Sharks minor league teams and new youth development system.

​Currently: The TSA Sharks, in conjunction with the WISC and the Islander Soccer Association (Poquoson), boast a 400+ player recreational league, the AP Sharks developmental program (bridging the gap between rec and travel), 33 youth travel teams from U9 to U18, a girls U17 WPSL Academy team participating (as a guest team) in the VPL "Virginia Premier League", a minor league Men's team playing in the IPL "Indoor Premeire League" as well as a minor league Women's team playing in the WPSL "Women's Premier Soccer League" - the largest and 2nd highest level of women's soccer in the US. In addition the Sharks have recently formed a strategic partnership with GIS (Global Image Sports) and English Club Wolverhampton Wanderers to work with the "Wolves" to enhance player development opportunities as well as team and coaches tours to England with direct access to the Wolves academy.
